School starts next Tuesday so today we started our practice school-day routine- namely waking up at 7am. Everyone (except Violet, whom we let sleep) was up with their alarms and ready to eat breakfast and read scriptures with Daddy. It's so nice now that he has a (borrowed) car so he can spend a few minutes with us in the morning!
On the flip side I am foreseeing many issues for ME in the future- like 38 week sleepiness, or middle of the night feedings making me a zombie. At least I don't have to be at the bus stop- there are usually enough parents to make sure things don't go crazy. So I just have to feed, dress, organize, and get them out the door. I guess in this regard I should be happy Moira isn't starting school- as a kindergartener I would have to be there!
Still, we are all excited for school to start (except Liliana, who told me she thought school would end after 1st grade). We have a big week planned including the pool, 2 play dates, camping on Friday (not me- I'm sleeping at home!), the school open house, and a trip to Pop's boat. Nothing like packing it all in the last week!

Happy 7th Birthday Liliana
Happy Birthday to my Liliana! This girl studied the world for her first year of life, decided how things were gonna be, and has insisted on it ever since. She keeps me on my toes, and I love her for it. Can't believe that 7 years ago it was her in my belly...

Toddler Talk
Violet has a delay in her speech (which I am not worried about since her gross and fine motor skills are far ahead). Still, she makes advances in her vocabulary every week (another reason why I'm not worried). This week's addition is an interesting one, though.

It's pretty awesome when she says it to tease her sisters :D

36 weeks
Ah the final weeks of pregnancy, when things get so uncomfortable (and sometimes painful) that you are wishing for a painful experience to make it go away :)
My doctors appointment was today and the baby is measuring fine, head down, and has a good heart beat. I always get paranoid around this time since was Grace was breech at 36 weeks, but luckily her siblings have not given me the same problem.
I am uncomfortable, but I am not miserable, well not all the time, anyway. I'm excited to see if the girls get a brother or sister; also excited to exercise normally again. But I need to get the older girls into school again, so I'm willing to wait. Actually around my due date would be best with our schedule. We'll see if this baby is willing to work with us ;)

Great Wolf Lodge
Family vacations had to be tailored to the huge and pregnant this year, so we decided to go to Great Wolf Lodge (vs some outdoor, high work load camping trip). The girls had a great time, especially since they finished their swimming lessons and were able to handle new rides! Grace and Kaylon faced the tornado ride not once, but twice! Liliana and Moira both tried the less rigorous rides adn loved them. Violet learned the path to the baby slide and used it over and over and over... I couldn't do much, and was sorer than expected from wading in knee deep water a lot, but loved how much fun the kids were having. We had a really cool room with a built in kids cabin with bunk beds and their own tv. We had a great time and I'm so glad we could do it for the girls!
