First Step!

Violet JUST took her first real step!!!! (as in actually trying to pick her foot up and move forward- not lunging, which she does a lot.) She didn't seem to know what do do after that and dropped to the ground or lunged herself at me, but it was SO cute! She took one step a few more times, but always fell after the one step. I think she might be walking before I get back from girls camp!

A Little ME Time

I don't usually spend much time on myself, but I do like to help my friends out, so when one of my photographer friends asked for some guinea pigs for a new photoshoot she wanted to do, I volunteered. It was a small group of ladies- we got together, did our makeup and hair, and got our pictures taken like models. I was slightly uncomfortable- I don't like a lot of attention on myself, especially since I have gained weight since giving birth, but I did have a fun time! We had a little party this morning to reveal the finished pictures, so I can now show them to you!

A big shout out to Melissa Fielding for doing our make-up and to Erin Witters of EWP (http://wittersphoto.blogspot.com/) for doing such a great job and making us all feel beautiful!

Happy First Birthday Violet!

Our Violet turned one yesterday! We celebrated with a chicken/peanut/wheat/egg free dinner of steak, salad, and corn on the cob, followed by strawberries with whipped cream. She didn't care at all that she had no cake :)

Still no walking, and still waiting on some more teeth to come in (please please come in soon so the screaming will stop!), but she's a smart girl who loves her sisters and mom and dad. She likes to make people laugh using comedic timing and physical humor. She has made up her own sign for 'eat' and uses it a lot. She likes to pretend to talk on the phone. Her favorite toys are the various vehicles we have (tow truck, new school bus, big cars). And she has a smile that can light up the room!

Happy Birthday Miss V!

I love this picture- don't think she could fit any more in there!

Soccer Ends

It was a fun soccer season for Grace and Liliana. We learned if we want the Liliana to do something (like try to kick the ball) she needs a money incentive; and that Grace does not like the pressure of being goalie (don't blame her there!). Not sure if more soccer is in our future, but we had a good time!
