Happy 5th Birthday Moira!

Moira's Big day included going to the gym (her request), a visit from Pop, McDonald's for lunch, a trip to Build a Bear to get a Panda (NOT a bear!),

chocolate cupcakes with blue frosting and My Little Ponies,

 and presents,

including 6 months of sleepovers from Grace!
She said it was her best birthday ever!

I keep wondering how she could be FIVE!

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas day filled with presents, yummy food, and family time.  We focused a lot more on our Savior's birth this year- trying to do small things every night for the past two weeks instead of jamming everything into 2 days- I have to say, I really enjoyed the Spirit it brought to our home.  We finished off our season with a nativity, with our Luca as the baby Jesus!  Having lots of kids has it's benefits- we can handle many of the parts ourselves now!

I just realized there are no pics of Grace... hoping Kaylon has some on his phone.  I'll post the video in a separate post.

Annual Christmas Cookie Decorating 2013

We decorated cookies on Christmas Eve this year and got to do it with Grandma Brandi and Pop this year!  We had a great time and made lots of pretty cookies- some icing and sprinkles even stayed on!

Gingerbread Houses and Hyper Girls

We stayed home from church today due to the freezing rain causing hazordous road conditions (when Kaylon says he's not comfortable driving you KNOW it's bad), so we decided to get in lots of family time today.  One of our activities was our annual gingerbread house. (Which, off topic, is a crazy thing to do with 4 girls who all want to do everything, but can't physically do what they want, so we the parents end up doing most of it, and then the girls get bored... I should just buy 4 small houses next year with 4 icing bags and let them go... but I digress...) Here is the final product:

And after all that time spent cutting, and gluing, and decorating... this is what happened tonight at dessert, with no parental guidance on how to eat the gingerbread:

Oh well, at least they had fun.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

We put all our Christmas books away during the year, and then put them around the tree at Christmastime.  The girls are always reading them now.

And doesn't Luca have great neck control!
